134 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; and Muḥammad also related to me; he said: ʿUbaydullāh ibn Mūsā and Muḥammad ibn Sābiq narrated to us, from Isrāʾīl, from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Rufayʿ, from Abū al-Ṭufayl, with wording similar to Sufyān’s account. He added: “She has her turn to drink, and you have your appointed day to drink (Qur’an 26:155); yet they hamstrung her (Qur’an 91:14).” ⦗89⦘ ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz said: Another man also told me that Ṣāliḥ said to them, “The sign that punishment is imminent is that tomorrow your faces will be yellow; on the second day, red or green; and on the third day, black. Then the punishment will fall upon you at dawn.” He said, “So they applied funeral perfume and made ready.”
