114 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Fudayl ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab narrated to us; ⦗78⦘ he said: I heard al-Nazr ibn Ismaʿil say:

Allah, Majestic and Exalted, said, “O Adam, you disobeyed Me yet obeyed Iblis?” He answered, “My Lord, he swore to me by You that he was a sincere adviser, and I assumed that no one would swear by You and then lie.”
