113 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, and Muhammad ibn al-Husayn also related to me; he said: Yahya ibn Ishaq al-Bajali narrated to us; he said: ʿUmara ibn Zadhan al-Saydalani narrated to us, from Yazid al-Raqashi, who said:

“When Adam—peace be upon him—had wept for a long time over being expelled from Paradise, someone asked him about his incessant tears. He answered, ‘I weep because I once dwelled near my Lord in a land whose soil was pure, where I could hear the voices of the angels.’”
