9 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Dāwūd ibn ʿAmr narrated to us; he said: Sallām ibn Sulaym narrated to us, from Simāk ibn Ḥarb, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, from his father, who said:

“When fornication (zina) and usury (riba) become openly practiced in a town, its destruction is thereby sanctioned.”
