- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; al-Hasan ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz narrated to us, from Damrah ibn Rabiʿah, ⦗76⦘ from Rajaʾ ibn Abi Salamah, from ʿUqbah ibn Abi Zaynab, who said: “It is written in the Torah: ‘Do not put your trust in the son of Adam, for the son of Adam possesses no enduring strength. Instead, place your trust in Allah, the Ever-Living who never dies.’”
٥٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، ⦗٧٦⦘ عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي زَيْنَبَ، قَالَ: مَكْتُوبٌ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ: «لَا تَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ابْنِ آدَمَ؛ فَإِنَّ ابْنَ آدَمَ لَيْسَ لَهُ قِوَامٌ، وَلَكِنْ تَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ»
