51 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Abī Maryam related to me, from Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn, from Ḥakīm ibn Jaʿfar, who said: I heard Abū ʿAbd Allah al-Barāthī say:
A certain worshipper once said to me, “Good sir, if you hand your affair over to Allah, two benefits will come together for you.” I asked, “And what are they?” He replied, “First, you will cease to worry about what has already been guaranteed for you; and second, your body will find relief from pursuing it. Tell me, then, what station could be loftier than that of one who obeys Him? As for the person who places his trust in Him, Allah—because of that very reliance—will spare him all anxiety and grant him ease.”
