47 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Ibrāhīm ibn Isḥāq ibn Abī al-ʿAnbas narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn ʿAwn narrated to us; he said: al-Muʿallā ibn ʿIrfān related, reporting that Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Jaḥsh said:

Zaynab and ʿĀʾishah once vied with one another. Zaynab said, “It was my marriage that was decreed from the heavens.” ⦗72⦘ ʿĀʾishah replied, “And it was my vindication that was revealed in the Book of Allah when Ibn al-Muʿaṭṭal lifted me onto the mount.” Zaynab then asked her, “What did you say when he set you upon it?” She answered, “I said: ‘Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs.’” Zaynab remarked, “You have spoken the very words of the believers.”
