43 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Kurayb narrated to us; Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ⦗69⦘ Layth, from Mujahid, from al-ʿAqqar ibn al-Mughirah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever seeks ruqyah (incantations for healing) and undergoes cauterization has absolved himself of tawakkul (reliance upon Allah).”
