32 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn said: Mukhawwal al-Kufī narrated to me; Bahīm Abū Bakr al-ʿAjlī related from a man of Kūfa who said:
“While I was in one of my orchards, I suddenly fancied I saw the figure of a black shape. Startled, I exclaimed: hasbiya Allāhu wa niʿma al-wakīl (Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best trustee). At once it sank into the ground before my very eyes. Then I heard a voice behind me reciting the verse: ‘And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will suffice him; indeed, Allah brings His command to pass’ (al-Ṭalāq 65:3). I turned around, but saw nothing.”
