29 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Harun Abu Nashit reported; Sulayman ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman Abu Ayyub reported; Ayyub ibn Suwayd, from Ibn Shawdhab, said: ⦗61⦘ “When Joseph was thrown into the well he declared, hasbiyallāhu wa niʿma al-wakīl (Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best guardian). The water there had been stagnant, yet it turned clear; it had been brackish, and it became sweet.”
