2 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Maḥmūd ibn Ghaylān al-Marwazī narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Ṣamad ibn ʿAbd al-Wārith narrated to us; my father narrated to us—he said: I heard Ḥusayn al-Muʿallim—who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Buraydah narrated to us; Yaḥyā ibn Yaʿmur, from Ibn ʿAbbās, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: ⦗46⦘ “O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have believed, upon You I have relied, to You I have turned in repentance, and by Your aid I contend. I seek refuge in Your might—there is no god but You—the Ever-Living who never dies, while the jinn and humankind will die.”
٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، نا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، نا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، نا أَبِي: سَمِعْتُ حُسَيْنًا الْمُعَلِّمَ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمُرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ: ⦗٤٦⦘ «اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّتِكَ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ، وَالْجِنُّ وَالْإِنْسُ يَمُوتُونَ»
