13 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to me; Khalid ibn Khidash narrated to us; Yahya ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman al-ʿAsari reported: the wife of Khulayd al-ʿAsari narrated to me, from Khulayd. She said, “I heard him say:
‘No servant who is driven by need, takes a sum held in trust while placing his reliance upon his Lord, then spends it on his family without extravagance, and is overtaken by death before repaying it—except that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says to His angels: “This servant of Mine was compelled by necessity; he took that trust in reliance upon Me and in confidence in Me, then spent it on his family without waste. I call you to witness that I have settled his debt and satisfied the one to whom it was owed.”’
