49 – Muhammad ibn Idris narrated to me; Hammad ibn Humayd narrated to us; Ayub ibn Suwayd narrated to us from Abu Rafiʿ, who said: “When a servant persists in a sin, a seal is set upon his heart and he is recorded among the heedless. Part of feeling secure against Allah’s scheme is that the servant remains upon the sin while merely hoping that Allah will forgive him.”
