48 – Muhammad narrated to me and said: “O my brother, display your deeds before yourself, then condemn them with all the power of your reason; perhaps your very condemnation will lead you to abandon them. And know that, even if you denounce them with all your might, their ugliness in the sight of your Lord is far greater than you can ever fathom. So ask Him to bestow upon you His pardon and the fullness of His covering.”
