42 – Yahya ibn ʿUthman narrated to us, Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, from Masruq ibn Sufyan, who said:

“Allah revealed to Moses son of ʿImran: ‘The first being I declared dead was Iblis, for he was the first to disobey Me, and I count whoever disobeys Me among the dead.’”
