183 – ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; Sufyān ibn Saʿīd informed us; he said: al-Shaʿbī said, “The one who repents from sin is like someone who has no sin.” Then he recited, “Indeed, Allah loves those who turn to Him in repentance, and He loves those who purify themselves” (al-Baqarah 2:222).
