- Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Mawsili related to me; Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Mughira, who said: Hudhayfah reported, “I complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the sharpness of my tongue, whereupon he said, ‘Where are you when it comes to seeking forgiveness? I myself seek Allah’s forgiveness one hundred times every day.’”
١٧٦ - حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: شَكَوْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ذَرَبَ لِسَانِي فَقَالَ: «أَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ؟ إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»
