15 – He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: “Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His believing servant than a man who, in the midst of a desolate, fatal wilderness, has with him his riding-animal bearing his food and drink. He falls asleep, then awakes to find it gone. Rising, he searches for it and continues searching until thirst overwhelms him. Finally he says, ‘I will return to the spot where I was and stay there until I die.’ He lies down, resting his arm beneath his head, resigned to death—then awakes to see his mount standing beside him with his provisions, his food, and his drink upon it. Allah’s joy over His servant’s repentance is even greater than this man’s joy at recovering his mount and his provisions.”
