Al-TawbaIbn Abi al-Dunya

14 – Abu Khaythama narrated to us; Jarir narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from ⦗40⦘ ʿUmārah ibn ʿUmayr, from al-Hārith ibn Suwayd, who said: “I went in to visit ʿAbd Allāh while he was ill, and he told us two reports—one from himself and one from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: ‘The believer sees his sins as though he were standing at the foot of a mountain, fearing it may collapse upon him, whereas the wicked person sees his sins like a fly that lands on his nose, which he simply brushes away.’”
