Al-TawbaIbn Abi al-Dunya

136 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me; Hajjaj ibn Muhammad reported; Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq transmitted from his father, Abu Ishaq, from Abu Juhaifah, from Ali ibn Abi Talib. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, ⦗112⦘ “Whoever commits a sin in this world and is punished for it, Allah is too just to impose a second punishment on His servant; and whoever commits a sin in this world and it remains hidden, Allah is too generous to revisit something He has already pardoned.”
