12 – Abū Kurayb narrated to us; al-Muḥāribī narrated to us, from al-ʿAlāʾ ⦗38⦘ ibn al-Musayyab, from ʿAmr ibn Murrah, from Mujāhid, who said: “Allah revealed to David: ‘Be wary; let not Allah seize you for a sin. Do not allow Him to find you in it, so that when you meet Him you will have no plea.’”
١٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ ⦗٣٨⦘ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: " أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَى دَاوُدَ: «اتَّقِ , لَا يَأْخُذْكَ اللَّهُ عَلَى ذَنْبٍ، لَا يَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ فِيهِ فَتَلْقَاهُ حِينَ تَلْقَاهُ وَلَيْسَ لَكَ حُجَّةٌ»
