119 – Yaʿqūb ibn Muḥammad narrated to me: There was a man from Basra who, whenever he entered iḥrām (the state of consecration), refused to take shade. On one occasion he entered iḥrām and the sun scorched him. When people reproached him about that he replied, ⦗103⦘
For His sake I have braved the noonday blaze
So that I may rest beneath His shade
