115 – Muhammad ibn Jabir related to me; al-Ashyab al-Hasan ibn Musa passed it on to us; Hammad ibn Salamah narrated from Thabit al-Bunani that ʿUbayd Allah ibn Ziyad once had the hand of a thief cut off. The people then began to invoke curses upon the thief. At this Abu Barzah al-Aslami and ʿAʾidh ibn ʿAmr said, “O people, do not be helpers of Satan against your brother; rather, praise Allah Who has kept you safe.”
