40 – Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn narrated to me; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Muḥammad ibn Ḥumayd narrated to me; he said: I heard Zuhayr ibn Nuʿaym say: al-Ḥasan used to say, “Son of Adam, you possess only this day, not tomorrow. Therefore, make the most of your day. If ⦗32⦘ tomorrow is granted to you, then be tomorrow as you were today; but if tomorrow never comes, you will not regret what you have neglected with respect to Allah.”
