39 – Hārūn ibn Sufyān narrated to me; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿIjlī informed me; he said: Ibn Abī Ghaniyyah informed me; he said: al-Awzāʿī wrote to a brother of his:

“To proceed: you are now hemmed in on every side. Know that, day and night alike, you are being carried along toward your appointed end. Therefore fear Allah and the standing before Him, lest this prove to be His final encounter with you. Peace.”
