Kalam al-Layali wa-l-AyyamIbn Abi al-Dunya

27 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me; Badal ibn al-Muhabbar al-Yarbuʿi narrated to us; al-Minhāl ibn ʿĪsā narrated to us, from Ghālib al-Qaṭṭān, from al-Hasan, who said: ⦗27⦘ “O child of Adam, you are riding between two mounts: the night conveys you to the day, and the day conveys you to the night, until both hand you over to the Hereafter. Who, then, O child of Adam, is faced with a weightier fate than you?”
