7 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Jamil narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Mubarak informed us; al-Masʿudi informed us; al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Mujahid, who said: My mawlā (client) ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Saʿib related to me:
“I was a business partner of the Prophet ﷺ during the pre-Islamic era. When I later arrived in Medina, he said to me, ‘Do you recognize me?’ I replied, ‘Yes— you were my partner, and what an excellent partner you were: you neither concealed anything nor argued.’”
