37 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAli ibn Shaqiq narrated to us; he said: I heard my father; Abu Mujahid narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon in which he spoke about riba (usury) and stressed its seriousness. He said: “A single dirham that a man acquires through riba is, in Allah’s sight, a graver sin than thirty-six instances of fornication committed by that same man. And the worst form of riba is to violate the honor of a Muslim man.”
