30 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Yahya ibn ʿAbd al-Hamid al-Himmani and Ahmad ibn Imran ⦗15⦘ al-Akhnas narrated to us; they said: Abu Bakr ibn ʿAyyash narrated to us; from al-Aʿmash; from Saʿid ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Jurayj; from Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “O gathering of those who profess faith with their tongues while faith has not yet reached their hearts! Do not search out the private faults of the Muslims, nor their slips and stumbles. Whoever pursues the missteps of the Muslims, Allah will pursue his misstep; and whomever Allah pursues, He will disgrace—even if that person is inside his own house.”
