Imam Abu Bakr ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿUbayd al-Qurashi, better known as Ibn Abī al-Dunyā (d. 278 AH), said:
1 – Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān al-Wāsitī narrated to us, from ʿAbbād ibn al-ʿAwwām, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Saʿīd, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) declared, “A servant does not perfect the reality of faith until he abandons disputation—even when he is in the right—and leaves off much speech for fear of falling into falsehood.”
