160 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to me; he said: Al-Muhallab ibn Abī Ṣufrah—may Allah have mercy on him—heard a man backbiting another and said, “Stop! By Allah, your mouth will never be rid of its stench.”
