136 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; al-Mubarak ibn Fadala informed us, from al-Hasan—may Allah have mercy on him—who said:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Whoever consumes a single morsel in this world by exploiting his Muslim brother, Allah will feed him a morsel of Fire for it. Whoever clothes himself in this world with a garment taken at the expense of his Muslim brother, Allah will dress him on the Day of Resurrection in a garment of fire. And whoever publicizes his Muslim brother’s faults, Allah will expose him on the Day of Resurrection.”
