135 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Jamil narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Mubarak informed us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Hammam—may Allah have mercy on him—who said:

We were sitting with Hudhayfah—may Allah be pleased with him—when they mentioned a man who used to carry reports to ʿUthman—may Allah be pleased with him. Hudhayfah said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: ‘A talebearer will not enter Paradise.’”
