120 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; Abu Muʿawiyah informed us, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Maymun, from Musa ibn Miskin, from Abu Dharr—may Allah be pleased with him—who reported that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said:

“Whoever spreads a word about a Muslim to defame him without right, Allah will disgrace him with that very word in the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”
