11 – ‘Abd Allah narrated to us; Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Hafs ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us; from Isma‘il ibn Abi Khalid; from Mus‘ab ibn Sa‘d, who said: ‘Umar ibn Sa‘d came to his father to ask for something. Before making his request, he spoke at length, so Sa‘d said to him, “You have never been farther from having your need met than you are today. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, ‘A time will come upon the people when they will roll words around on their tongues just as cattle run their tongues through pasture.’”
