105 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; al-Hasan ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz al-Jarawi narrated to us; ʿAli ibn al-Hasan al-ʿAsqalani narrated to me; from ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Mubarak; from Layth ibn Saʿd, who said: Yahya ibn Sulaym ibn Zayd, the freedman of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, told me that he heard Ismaʿil ibn Bashir, the freedman of Banu Mughala, say: “I heard Jabir ibn ʿAbd Allah and Abu Talha ibn Sahl—the two Ansaris (may Allah be pleased with them both)—say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared:
‘No person abandons a Muslim in a place where his sanctity is violated and his honour denigrated without Allah abandoning him in a place where he longs for His help; and no Muslim supports a fellow Muslim in a place where his honour is denigrated and his sanctity violated without Allah supporting him in a place where he longs for His help.’”
Yahya added: ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿUtbah ibn Shaddad also related this to me.
