103 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us: Abu Khaythama narrated to us; ʿUthman ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; from ʿUbayd Allah ibn Abi Ziyad; from Shahr ibn Hawshab; from Asmaʾ bint Yazid, who reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever defends his brother’s honour against backbiting in his absence, it becomes incumbent upon Allah to free him from the Fire.”
