34 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān narrated; from Sinān ibn Hārūn; ʿAmr ibn Qays said:

“A virtuous man from the generation of the Successors, known as Zayd al-Aʿsam, ⦗49⦘ was once standing in prayer when a purse fell upon him. He looked at it and, on opening it, found the following words:

‘O Allah, I ask You for the certainty of the truthful,
for the truthfulness of those who are certain,
for the deeds of the obedient,
for the fear felt by those who labor (for You),
for the worship of the devout,
for the humility of the worshippers,
for the penitence of the humble,
for the humility of the penitent,
and—by Your mercy—to be joined with the living whom You provide for.’”
