27 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAli ibn Abi Maryam narrated, from ʿIsmah ibn al-Mutawakkil; Zafir ibn Sulayman narrated; he said that ʿAwn ibn ʿAbd Allah reported:

Luqman the Wise said to his son, “Faith is comprised of seven fundamental truths, and each truth has its own defining reality: certainty, reverent fear, knowledge, guidance, action, reflection, and scrupulousness.

• The reality of certainty is patience.
• The reality of reverent fear is obedience.
• The reality of knowledge is faith.
• The reality of guidance is insight.
• The reality of action is intention.
• The reality of reflection is discernment.
• The reality of scrupulousness is chastity.”
