Al-Silsilah al-Daʿīfah, no. 4633:

“Whoever recites Sūrah al-Baqarah will be crowned with a crown in Paradise.”

The author of “The Retractions” filed this hadith under the heading “From Authentication to Weakening.” In reality, al-Albani’s verdict shifted from “weak” to “fabricated,” not from “authentic” to “weak,” as the author imagined.
