Al-ZuhdIbn Abi al-Dunya

95 – Suraij narrated to me; he said: Saʿid b. Muhammad related to us, from Salih b. Hassan, from ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr, from ʿAʾishah, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O ʿAʾishah, if you wish to join me, let what suffices you of this world be no more than the provision of a mounted traveler. Do not let a garment become worn out until you have first mended it, and beware of keeping company with the wealthy.”
