8 – Khālid ibn Khidāsh narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; he said: ʿAmr ibn Abī ʿAmr related to me, from al-Muṭṭalib ibn Ḥanṭab, from Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever loves his worldly life harms his Hereafter, and whoever loves his Hereafter harms his worldly life. Therefore, give preference to what endures over what perishes.”
