71 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ashʿath narrated to us; he said: Ibn ʿUyaynah said to me, “I was told on the authority of ʿAbd al-Wāḥid that he used to say: ‘What is this world, really? If ever I were to sell it—every bit of it, in any circumstance—I would trade it for a single drink to ease my thirst.’”
