548 – Ishaq ibn Hatim narrated to me: I heard Husayn ibn Abi ʿAbd Allah say, “We were in Mecca with Abu al-Hajjaj al-Khurasani, beseeching Allah, and among us was a man of considerable means. Abu al-Hajjaj declared, ‘O Allah, do not grant us so much as a single dinar or dirham.’ We all responded, ‘Āmīn,’ every one of us save that affluent man.”
