534 – al-ʿAbbās ibn al-Faḍl al-Bajali narrated to us, saying: “A group of people indulged in excessive denunciation of the world in the presence of Rābiʿa, whereupon she said, ‘Refrain from denigrating the world so much, for whoever loves something speaks of it ⦗229⦘ often.’”
