491 – Hārūn ibn Ibrāhīm al-Imām narrated to me; he said: Abū Saʿīd al-Bajalī reported to us, from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid, who said: Iblis once passed by Jesus son of Mary while he was resting his head on a stone. Iblis said, “O Jesus, are you content to take this stone as all you want from the world?” Jesus lifted the stone from beneath his head, hurled it at him, and said, “It—and the world along with it—are yours; I have no need of it.”
