475 – ʿAli ibn al-Hasan ibn Abi Maryam narrated to me, from al-Husayn ibn Ziyad al-Marwazi, who said: Maʿdan remarked, “Labour for this world in proportion to the time you will spend in it, and labour for the Hereafter in proportion to the time you will dwell there.”
