470 – Salamah narrated to me, saying: Sahl ibn ʿĀṣim narrated to us; he said: al-Aṣmaʿī remarked, “It used to be said: ‘What is reported about the world is more daunting than actually being tested by it, whereas the trial of the Hereafter will be far more daunting than anything ever said about it.’”
