433 – Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me; he said: Mutayr ibn al-Rabiʿ related to me, saying: Mufaddal ibn Yunus said to me, “Today I saw our fellow clansman from Banu al-Harith, Muhammad ibn al-Nadr, looking downcast and gloomy. I asked, ‘What is the matter with you? What has happened?’ He answered, ‘The night that has just passed was a portion of my life, yet I gained nothing in it for myself. The day too has slipped away, and I do not see that I have earned anything in it either. Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.’”
