424 – Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥārith al-Khazzāz told me; he said: Sayyār narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar related to us; he said: al-Muʿallā ibn Ziyād, on the authority of al-Ḥasan, said: “No day comes among the days of this world without it speaking and saying, ‘O people, I am a new day, and I bear witness to whatever is done within me. Once the sun sets, I shall never return to you until the Day of Resurrection.’”
